Shame that the Clone Wars does not explore more the whole Gran-Dugs conflict, the problem of the Gran colonization of Malastere and so on. It could have been interesting story arc to explore....like using the tensions between the Gran colonists and the native Dugs by separatist plot and so on :).

propably a pretty unpopular opinion here: I am yet to come across a story around thrawn that is well written in any shape or form. I recently finished a 3 series audiobook about the chiss ascendency and I was baffled on how horribly written it was. All movie adaptations, be it animations or live action, fall short of making him an interesting character too. I remember vaguely listening to some audiobooks from an earlier time but frankly I dont remember much about them wich propably means that they didnt stick with me either. I keep trying again and again since hes so much of a fan favourite but it has always been a very dissapointing experience In rebels its like "oh no its thrawn were doomed"- then he looses the battle just to say something like "I may lost 95% of my battle group but ACTUALLY it was a win for me because now I know how they drink their tea". It was never established that hes an actual threat since he kept loosing pretty much all fights. Same for the Ashoka show The Audiobook series was a completely different kind of bad, it was always like "I know this thing because I saw 2 mosquitos having sex on my windshield, I know it doesnt make sense to YOU but I just know it", then Proceeds to win absolutely every single battle without effort. No challenges, no danger, no excitement and most importantly: little to no character development.

I have read that the vessels built during the war and even some (especially if they were already in for extensive repairs) were retrofitted and overhauled with better shielding, more armor, and a vastly superior armament/weapon layout.
